Previously in the UX process, we looked into the Brief which explains the project plan to the client. The project plan highlights in a timeline, what will take place from the start of the project, to the end of the project.
We also looked at using a persona. The research in a persona gives insight into what the intended people to use the final product would like. This helps the Designer and Developer understand what should be worked on, to satisfy the interests of people who will use the end product.
Following the Brief and Persona comes Wireframing, which has a high value in the UX process. Wireframing is equally useful when I create them for apps and websites. Here is a sample of 2 Wireframes for this website...

Tap/Click to see a larger overview of Wireframes.
Now with Wireframes, they will likely have a basic layout i.e. one colour, one font, etc. It is an important feature I would send to the client, or to myself in this case, to make sure everything is in the right order and place, and represents the values of the company.
While there is temptation to add colour, fonts and images, Wireframing is not about the final presentation of how things will look. The final presentation will come later.
Ideas will evolve through the UX process. You may notice the Blog’s Wireframe does not have the Past Blogs section, that is on the website now. I always want to make things useful, yet easy and even fun to use. For these reasons, I am thinking it through as how to design and implement links for past Blogs.

Jan 18, 2019. Part 2 - Persona
Following the brief as the initial outline, decided to create a persona to give an idea of what potential website visitors will look for. In this way, I can focus on things that are relevant to their interest.
Personas also help in later stages of the UX process, as you will see...
Tap/Click to see the Persona.
For this project, it will help knowing what fellow Graphic Designers can get out of this website, even if one wears a shiny black suit. For example, someone may like to get ideas, from other's life experiences that lead into a project or affect the project. The visitor may view or even want to strengthen their knowledge on something.
For a client project, knowing about other people in the office helps a lot. It helps get information shared between the Designer and other company staff.
Knowing what people may want to see, such as my current works on the Blog, providing insights to my approach for them, may help others with inspiration for their own project or simply entertain.
I hope these examples can give you ideas on the value of researching and creating personas for the UX project.

Jan 14, 2019. Part 1 - The Brief
Happy New Year everyone! It’s great to be back. One of the reasons is starting the new year with UX design (User Experience)...
There is something about working on the user experience. I don’t mean simply the User Interface design (UI). That is a small part of the entire process. Understanding what the company wants, conversing with staff back and forth at different stages of the process, with the same goal in mind is great.
And what better way to start by giving you examples of my UX work? The project is for creating this website and blog. Today will be about the brief I have written...
Starting with the UX Brief Tap/Click to access the pdf document
The brief is significant in communicating details of the project between the creator and client. It contains information such as what the project is about, who the project is for, timeline, and expected features in the resulting product.
As the website is about myself, I’m both the creator and client.
Including what gets delivered to the client is important. The brief shows how the designs and ideas get communicated. For example, the use of wireframes, high fidelity prototypes, testing and feedback leading to changes and further testing.
The deadlines prioritises tasks and records when/how tasks get done over time e.g. Design, Prototyping, coding and building the website.
The information above varies from project to project. This brief is to give you some insight on what it took to create this website. There will be more to come in the UX Design for the website.
