Going to talk about presentations. How can they be beneficial? The techniques to engage the audience, in ways that lets them know they have your attention while you present, and you have their attention.
Understanding what they are looking for, what they need. Getting the attention of the audience, not letting them get distracted from the points you are trying to convey. The use of colours, images, animations.
While studying some time ago, a presentation made on a architectural company I was working for, got the students attention. I realised it was due to how I engaged the students, not so much the content. Yet, the students listened the entire presentation, taking in what I had to say about an Architectural company. The transitions between different points about the company, the students followed how each point started, and moved on to the next point.
If for example, you are working in a Project team. Making a presentation to the team members, knowing you have their attention, they get useful information from the presentation, and importantly the members are on the same page as a result.
There are plenty of benefits to an engaging presentation. Even if you believe the topic is not incredibly fascinating, as said, the use of colours, images, and animations...the use of these in the right amounts, with good timing as well, can really have the audience listening in on the edge of their seats.

This website makes use of HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery and PHP. That’s 5 languages, working together to make this website work. Looking back, its a lot of hard work, with a satisfying feeling in the end.
Communication and a first point of contact is important. While visiting this website, trying to get in touch manually through an e-mail program or logging into another website for webmail can be bothersome, especially if busy in the office. Been thinking it will be much quicker and easier for people to get in touch, by using this simple form on the website itself.
When using the contact form, doubt you will go through feelings of nostalgia, such as when using an old phone. I hope it does the job well, and make the process light.
Abstract Art

It has been a while since last creating abstract art. Usually my focus is on using real world objects and photo-editing.
So, where to start? To create from scratch can be satisfying. Even more, I hope to communicate ideas to others. This abstract piece started with the idea of a flower and nothing more. While drawing the flower and wanting one or two styles in the picture, the background is created with a crafters look. The flower's original appearance changed to a more solid look rather than transparency, to blend in with the background. Click/Tap the image above to see the full image.
Much of the satisfaction comes at the end, when seeing what you have created sinks in.

Finally created the website! Using a combination of tools and platforms to suit the time and place, enjoyed focusing on the design and layout of the pages, and how things get communicated. Coding the website from scratch, it was great refreshing the memory for languages HTML, CSS, Javascript, and learning JQuery. To learn new languages while learning others that have changed significantly, can be a challenge. Well worth the effort.
Being able to create feels great. Creating some that hopefully feels beautiful, easy on the senses, and easy to communicate and follow, makes the effort all worth while. Whether its this website, drawing, painting, presentation slides or visually presenting data for a client. Happy times.
